Smart Traffic Signals to Deck Up Rajkot

Forty five new smart traffic signals are all set to deck up Rajkot under smart city initiative for easy and chaos-free management of traffic. These smart traffic signals would include a pedestrian crossing facility as well. The whole of smart traffic signalling will be connected to Eye-Way project that includes a wide mesh of CCTV cameras for e-monitoring. An initiative of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC), the smart traffic signaling system will be jointly monitored by RMC and city police commissioner’s office, reported the Times of India.
