How the water monitoring systems work

The Sense Guard is a multi-sensor system that is installed across the main water pipe of the premise. Data read by various sensors inside the device include water pressure, water flow, system temperature, water consumption and more.

All these data can be accessed using the Grohe ONDUS mobile application (downloadable for Android as well as iOS). The solution can also monitor micro-leaks in the pipes and notifies the user over the app in real-time if a leak is detected. In case of pipe bursts or heavy water leakage, the system can turn off the water supply automatically when water volume exceeds a preset threshold.

Grohe Sense is a water sensor placed on a surface (floor, wall etc.) near a water storage or pipeline. If water leaks and drips across the sensor over the surface, an alert is sent to the user’s mobile and to emergency contacts so that quick action can be taken. It also monitors the surrounding temperature and humidity.
